April Stitch Fix Review

It’s official…I am addicted to Stitch Fix.  I remember when I first heard about this company I thought it was a fun concept.  Create a Style Profile, a stylist sends you things to try on at home, you keep what you want, send back what you don’t.  I just didn’t think I would ever go for it because I have such trouble shopping for myself, how in the world was someone else going to shop for me?  And then I realized that’s my entire problem…I can’t ever make up my mind, so how perfect would it be for someone to just choose for me?  That’s when I scheduled my first “fix” and it looks like there is no turning back.  At this point I am more than confident that my $20 styling fee is going to go right back into something I will keep.

So are you ready to see what I got this time?  As always I am going to need a little feedback because there are a couple of items I am still torn on.  I’ll let you be the judge.

{ 1 }  Tart- Brigitte Striped Raglan Thermal Top- $58.00

So I would never pick this color out myself if I saw this at the store, but the style is SO me.  The sleeves are long, the neckline hangs off your shoulders, the fabric is so soft, it’s the ultimate casual top.  I’ll be honest, I immediately took the tags off this one and wore it the rest of the day.  I just didn’t want to take it off.  Status: KEPT

{ 2 }  Kut From The Kloth- Denna Colored Skinny Jean – $78

So I loved the first pair of skinny jeans I received from Stitch Fix but I wish I could say the same for these.  I didn’t even need to put them all the way on before I already realized they were going back.  I present to you…my not so skinny jeans.  I think even if they were the right size the color just wouldn’t be something I would ever wear.  Status: RETURNED

{ 3 }  Sweet Rain- Alan Cowl Neck Asymmetrical Cardigan- $58.00

I had seen this top circulating out there amongst other bloggers who do Stitch Fix reviews and I was really hoping that one would appear in one of my shipments.   I guess my April fix would be my lucky one, because there it was and I loved it just as much as I thought I would.  It’s too bad it’s going to be in the 90s this week, because I’m pretty sure I would be living in this otherwise.  Status:  KEPT

{ 4 }  Pomelo- Freddy Sleeveless Chiffon Dress- $58

I can’t make up my mind on this one.  When I see a photo of it on I think it looks cute, but in person i’m not sure it was very flattering.  I do think if I dressed it up right though it could be a really fun dress for the Spring/Summer.  I love the color.  The fabric is silky underneath and the top is chiffon, so it feels a little too dressy for me to wear during the day.  I think I’m just wondering when I would actually wear this.  Status:  UNDECIDED

{ 5 }  Under Skies- Hillsborough Tab-Sleeve Henley Blouse – $58.00

I should take a closer photo of this shirt because it has a really cool subtle pattern on the fabric.  I love the navy blue, I love the style of the shirt, especially the roll up sleeves.  It also came with a little white cami tank top, but that is because it is very sheer.  That’s the part I am not too sure of.  What do you think?  Status:  UNDECIDED

I would say this was probably my favorite fix so far.  I think I am getting pretty close to finding one that I may just keep the whole thing.  When you do, you get 25% off your entire order!  I think I am going to ask my stylist to stay away from jeans on my next fix since they are so hit and miss.  I also requested no jewelry this time which I was happy to see extra clothes instead of a bracelet that I would probably never wear.

Thanks for checking out my Stitch Fix review, as always I would appreciate any feedback you have.  And after you’re done go have some fun and fill out your own style profile.  Even if you don’t schedule your first fix it’s great to have it all ready to go for the day you realize you’re ready for it….be prepared to be instantly hooked!

Hope you all had a great weekend and are off to a great start this Monday!

No to the dress, yes to the navy blue sheer top. I have taken a risk with a few tops like this lately and they are always the perfect thing when I am not sure what to wear. The dress just isn’t really flattering, I feel like it makes you look a lot bigger than you are and I don’t think you’d wear it because it would not make you feel great about yourself!! Love the tops that you are definitely keeping SO MUCH! They both are so my style it makes me want to sign up for this hahaha. I am not into the jeans either – even if they fit. I don’t like that cobalt blue type color at all.

I’m with everyone else, the blue top is a keeper. And love the other two tops. I would totally live in those also. I almost want to just go re-do my style profile (I have one, and even have credits!) just to get both of those tops.

Although I will just say again… you would look great in anything they send you. So fun.

You always get the best fixes! That cardigan is most definitely a winner – I love mine :) I do like the sheer top but my issue with that style is they are always full of static and drives me crazy! The color looks fab on you though.
