Treat Yourself Tuesday

Happy Tuesday friends!  I am so bummed I missed posting a Treat Yourself Tuesday post last week, because really it’s one of my favorites to participate in.  I must have treated myself to a nap or an early bedtime instead of blogging!  I’m back this week though linking up with Becky over at Olives ‘n Wine sharing some of the ways I made last week special for myself.  Becky started this blog series to highlight how important it is to take care of yourself amidst all the hustle and bustle of the day.  Slow down….take some time to relax…treat yourself to things that bring you happiness and do this without guilt because there is nothing more important than realizing you are deserving of it.

{ONE}  Am I the only one who goes on Instagram late night and searches through the hashtag #shopmycloset looking for goodies?  There are some people on there with serious good taste in clothing basically giving away some of their no longer worn items straight from their closets.  I stumbled upon this vintage leather bag and decided it was going to be mine and would be perfect for the Spring/Summer.  I actually looked at it for awhile and kept coming back to it, then Becky and TYT came to mind and I said, what the heck!?  I can’t wait to get it this week!

{TWO}   Right up there with searching Instagram for vintage finds, comes searching my daily-deal apps for good steals!  I couldn’t help but jump on this six-hour limo tour of Temecula wine country that I came across last week.  For anyone that is in So Cal this deal is still available HERE.  I haven’t decided if this will be used for a nice day date with Greg or an afternoon with the ladies.  I’m pretty sure I need a second one so both can happen.  There is nothing more relaxing than an day in wine country…I am really looking forward to booking this.

{THREE}   Speaking of wine, I am not sure how you get your work done….but one of the perks that comes from working for yourself and with some of your closest friends is this is what our weekly meetings are looking like.  Put the kids to bed, gather outside by the fire pit, chat over a glass of wine and let the brainstorming begin.  It truly is a treat to be doing something you love with people you love!  I promise we really are productive and accomplish a lot despite how fun our “office” looks.

{FOUR}  With all that has been going on lately, I am really trying to make sleep a priority since it usually falls short on my list of things to do.  I was hanging out with my friend Courtney two days ago (which of course is a treat all on it’s own) but she let me in on a little cozy secret of hers.  Eberjey Pajamas!!  Courtney and I are very similar in that when we find something we love we REALLY love it.  I didn’t even have to question her recommendation…I looked them right up and these will be making their way to my doorstep this week.  They aren’t cheap but Court said they are worth every single penny and she practically lives in them.  I am hoping these will make me excited to unwind at the end of the day, get comfortable in my new PJs and get to bed at a reasonable hour for once!  How cute are they?

{FIVE}   I don’t need to tell you how a trip to Target looks….but of course I went in with the intentions of buying laundry baskets, birthday cards, and wrapping paper and these made their way into my shopping cart.  Come on, they were $19 and I am pretty sure you will see these on my feet every day this Summer.  They are so cute on and surprisingly comfortable.  A treat to my feet!  Even better I just saw their sandals are buy one get one 50% off!

{SIX}  I left out mentioning my treats to Dairy Queen, Smash Burger and Chipotle over the weekend soooo….let me present you with the best possible thing I can do for myself.  That’s right…it’s been 90 days and I can finally do another Advocare 10 day cleanse.  My angry stomach is going to be so happy this week.  I decided to start a little early from the April 7th group challenge our Facebook group is doing and tossed back my first fiber drink this morning.  Treat yourself to feeling awesome and come join us!

My favorite treat of all was actually finding a little quiet time to post here.  I wish I could find a way to blog more than 1-2 times a week, but for the sake of finding a good balance in life I try to make this a place where I share because I want to, not a place where I feel that I have to.  So thank you, as always, for reading along….now go pour yourself a glass of wine (since I can’t) and treat yourself to a relaxing evening!
