Stitch Fix Review: #2

I was totally planning on doing Must-Have-Monday post today, but the arrival of my second Stitch Fix delivery on Saturday quickly changed that.  I suppose this is still along the lines of a MHM post because…PEOPLE, YOU MUST HAVE STITCH FIX IN YOUR LIFE!  I just can’t get over how fun this company is!  You complete your own personal style profile, select the price range of clothing you are comfortable with, select a date you want to receive your fix and pay $20 to have your own stylist send you 5 items.  Try everything out in the comfort of your own home, with your own clothing and accessories, and simply send back what you don’t want (in a pre-paid envelope that’s included) or keep what you do want and apply your $20 styling fee towards your purchase.  It’s genius really.

While I loved my first fix, I only ended up keeping the fuchsia 3/4 length sleeve stop.  For this second fix I gave my stylist, Venetia, my feedback and told her I would like some more casual items.  I love the attention to detail this company has, and how special they make you feel (despite being very popular now).  Not only did she include this note card, but someone in marketing wrote me a very nice e-mail wishing me a happy birthday and said they found my first blog post and told me she liked how I styled my outfits for my birthday date night.  Talk about making you feel like they really pay attention!

So, time to cut to the chase…I have to return anything that isn’t a “keeper” by tomorrow so please put your votes in.  I LOVE hearing what you have to say and seriously don’t think I can make fashion decisions without your feedback.  Also, remember that if I decide to keep everything I get 25% off my entire purchase.

{1}  Evolution by Cyrus- Jazzy French Terry Mesh Detail Drawstring Dress- $78.00  (hard to tell but the pink park of the dress is a cozy sweatshirt like material, and the black sleeves are a cuffed sheer material…Id be more likely to wear this with dressy flip-flops to wear casually during the day)

StitchFix4

{2}  Pomelo- Corinna Striped Dolman Top – $48.00 (I can’t even describe how soft the fabric is that this is made from.  I knew I would like this one before I even tried it on).

StitchFix5

{3}  Just Black- Adora Skinny Jean – $88.00 (I thought it was a brave move of them to send jeans…what are the chances of them actually fitting right?  Well, despite being a little long I was pleasantly surprised.  Again, the material of these are so nice and they might just be the perfect yellow denim for the Spring)

StitchFix6

{4}  C.Luce- Adaline Geo Print Mixed Material Tank- $58.00  (I tried these on with the yellow jeans and I liked them together but it may be a bit too bold for me.  But I loved their Style Card suggestion of pairing this top with white jeans for Spring/Summer)

StitchFix1

{5} Jenny Bird- Britton Lantern Magnetic Bracelet- $32.00 (I actually think this bracelet is really simple and cute and love that it has a magnetic clasp.  I’m not sure it’s worth the price BUT if I did keep everything I would essentially be getting the bracelet and the dolman top for free)

My favorite part about Stitch Fix (aside from the convenience of it) is that it gets me to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to clothing.  I would have never picked any of these items if I were out shopping for myself…yet they surprisingly are all things that I would consider to be “my style”.  Since I rarely shop for myself I think this is a great way to slowly build my wardrobe with special pieces.  I especially love their Style Card suggestions because it gives me ideas on how to wear these items a few ways, and shows me what staple pieces I could buy to pair with them.

Lastly….ladies if you decide to try out Stitch Fix and fall in love with it too, make sure you share it with your friends and family.  You will be given your own referral link and if anyone signs up to receive their first fix you get a $25 credit to apply towards future purchases.  After you complete your own Style Profile and request a fix, you will be given your own referral link to share with others too.  It’s.just.so.brilliant!!!  I also just found out that if you like something you saw in someone else’s fix, you can try to request it for your next one…you just have to be quick since they keep a limited amount in inventory.

Can’t wait to hear your feedback so I can complete my order and of course….set a date for my next fix!  #stitchfixjunkie

Hope you all had an awesome weekend!

You HAVE to keep #2 and #3!!! i also love #4 but the other two are my top two! Personally, I think all the S&D jewelry you have is way cuter than the bracelet they sent you ;) Wow, now I want to try this!!! Are all of these clothes stitchfix only or can you buy them in store somewhere??? Happy Monday!

Oooh a great fix. You are getting me more and more motivated to schedule one.

I personally think everything they pick is gonna look good on someone like you. Buuut if I had to pick, I like the dolman top, yellow jeans and aqua tank top (will be sooooo cute with white jeans!!). But you really can’t go wrong. If you would wear the dress a lot, I say go for that too.

You’re too cute. And I laugh when you say you have no style, you have great great style.

ok for this week go with the skinny pale yellow jeans. But pair with that gray and stripe top that Im assuming is yours. With the black wedge botties. Ur going for high contrast off the pale yellow denim. I would also do a classic white tank with the pale denim and find a gold gladiator sandal or a gold or nude tory birch sandal. pump up the jewelry with gold and enamel pastels from forever 21. p.s yes this is all free advice xoxox

I love the tank paired with the jeans. It’s refreshing to see some pieces that weren’t exactly the same as what I’ve seen everywhere else. The skinny jean, yes, they are sending to everyone but it keeps getting rave reviews so I can’t blame them! I just got my first fix with the same brand of Jean but the “Jake” style, which is a straight boot cut. I need a long jean and I LOVE them! Super flattering. Just added a review of the first fix to my blog – I’m hoping they nail my individual style as well as they seem to have gotten yours.
